About Us
AVA Creations
We would like to introduce ourselves as “AVA Creations”, a handloom fabric brand jointly promoted by “M/s AVA” and “AVA Foundation”. M/s AVA is a for profit MSME having Udyog Aadhaar No. AS03D0000473 & “AVA Foundation”, a not for profit society registered under Societies Registration Act, 1860 having Registration No: RS/KAM (M)/ 263/P/ 180 of 2017-2018 (NGO Darpan Unique ID: AS/2017/0163290).
In August, 2017, we have established a Community Weaving cum Production Center near Deepor Beel Bird Sanctuary to provide an alternate livelihood to the forest dwellers and currently connected to 245+ weavers from Matia, Mikirpara, Chakardeo, Bakrapara, Sajanpara, Satargaon, & Barduar Bagan locality under Rani Development Block and Chayani Barduar Block of Kamrup District for skill training and product development, whereas M/s AVA has provided requisite support in sourcing orders, working capital, buy back arrangement of the product manufactured in the Community Weaving cum Production Center. A portion from our profit from our product sell by “M/s AVA” goes to “AVA Foundation” to carry out development activities for our artisans associated with “AVA Creations”. Recently, we have also set up a “Handloom Experience Center” in Matia Hills to attract tourists and textile enthusiasts across the globe.

Anu Mandal
A commerce graduate and a dynamic professional with more than 12 years’ of experience in Fashion Industry, Brand Activation, Event & Sports Management, Marketing and Business Development in diverse industries of North Eastern Region. She has undergone a certificate course in Textile Designing from Weavers Service Center, Guwahati and an Entrepreneurship Development Programme by Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship, Guwahati. She is also associated with AVA Foundation, a society to promote rural crafts of North Eastern Region.
Arup Kumar Baishya
A science graduate and a professional with a rich corporate career spanning over a decades in Autonomous Apex Bodies set up by Government, Public Private Partnership Projects & Micro finance companies in North East India. He belongs to a weavers family from Sualkuchi and has undergone Certificate course in Fashion & Clothing from National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Kolkata sponsored by Ministry of DoNER and an Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp by Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship. He is associated with AVA Foundation, a society for promotion, development & marketing of rural crafts of North Eastern Region.

1. Participated in International Handloom Expo at Dhaka , Bangladesh from 28th Jan to 31st Jan, 2020.
2. Felicitated in ICC – Inspiration , Women Entrepreneurship - “Necessity to Opportunity” conference organized by Indian Chamber of Commerce on 11th February, 2020 at NEDFi House , Guwahati.
3. Finalist in Livelihood & Income Generation Category of 7th edition of eNorth East Award 2019-2020 (virtual) held in June, 2020.
4. Received one lac grant from State Sericulture Department in August, 2020
5. Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship has engaged us as Technical Agency cum Service Provider to provide handholding support for implementation of Skill Development Programme on alternate livelihood promotion to 25 tribal women under NSTFDC in Rani, Kamrup District of Assam.
